Wendi Krommenacker

Hi, I’m Wendi Krommenacker, community relations manager for Coronado dental. I have a passion for working with seniors and helping those in need. I’m so proud to be part of the Coronado Dental team, a company that shares those same values. My educational and career path have been diverse, but I’ve enjoyed working in senior living communities for the past 10 years. I’m originally from Washington and moved to Arizona in 2009. Although the Northwest is beautiful, I was anxious to leave the rain behind and enjoy more sunshine and dry weather. When I’m not working, you’ll find me painting, attending concerts, singing karaoke and spending time with friends, family, and dog.

Melody Leavitt

Melody started in the dental field when she was 14 years old working with her father, Dr. Lewis Leavitt. She received both her Dental Assistant Certification and Dental Hygiene degree in Tucson, Arizona at Pima Community College. Now over 31 years later, her goal continues to carry on her father’s tradition of providing patients with the utmost compassion while delivering mobile dentistry at the highest standard of care providing completely tailored preventative as well as therapeutic care regarding each patient’s needs. Being a Tucson native, Melody loves all that Arizona has to offer and spends a lot of time hiking exploring its beauty. In her spare time, she loves being with her three daughters, 1 grandson, and extended family, traveling to the world’s best beaches, watching, and playing sports, and trying to leave a small mark in the world by working with non-profit organizations.

Alberto Lopez

I have been working in the dental field since 2021, when I graduated from Carrington College as a Certified Dental Assistant. I chose mobile dentistry because I have a passion for helping out those who need it and providing patients with a smile that they are satisfied with. Things I love most about Arizona are its people and the great weather, especially enjoying the desert views at sunrise and sunset.

Kirsten Dever

Hi I’m Kirsten. I have been a dental assistant for 2 1/2 years now. I completed my schooling here in Arizona at Phoenix college. I have worked for Coronado dental for just over 2 years and love getting the chance to help people who don’t have access or the ability to go to the dentist. I enjoy rock climbing and Arizona has the perfect weather to be able to do that most of the year.

Fahima Durrani

My name is Fahima Durrani. I received my dental assistant certificate from the Medical and Dental Valley College in Los Angeles, CA back in 1987. I started working with Dr. Phil Hendrix and his team with the Coronado mobile dentistry since 1999 and have been working alongside him and the company ever since. I’ve enjoyed being with mobile dentistry because it brings me great happiness to cater to those in need who may not have the means of getting places to take care of their health needs. My favorite thing about Arizona is being close to my family, especially my 7-month old grandson. A fun fact about me is I love to cook for my family and friends!

Amber Steinfadt

I’m Amber! I have lived in Arizona since 2017 and have been in the dental field for 13 years. In 2010, I graduated from dental assisting school in Washington. I worked as a dental assistant for an endodontist and then on two army bases. In 2017, I graduated from hygiene school in Texas and moved to Arizona as soon as I could. I have always loved everything Arizona has to offer, from the lakes, mountains, and sun to all types of restaurants and people. I chose to join Coronado in mobile dentistry because I have always had the heart to help people who don’t have as easy access to care or are unable to care for themselves. My husband and I share a daughter and a son and try travel as much as we can.

Sue Richmond

Hello, I am originally from Ontario Canada where I started my career as a Dental Assistant. I decided to further my education and graduated as a Dental Hygienist from Erie Community College in Buffalo, NY. I have over 30 years experience in the field having worked in private practice, community health care settings and now mobile dentistry. By far mobile dentistry has been the most rewarding. I love that I can help provide the most basic dental hygiene needs to a population of people that otherwise would not be able to access care easily due to immobility, physical challenges and cognitive impairments. It is important to me to make each patient feel special, never judged and most importantly provide dental treatments and education that help maintain and improve not only oral health but overall physical health. Outside of work my husband and I recently moved to Apache Junction. We love to hike, kayak, and go jeeping. Between us we have 4 grown children and recently became grandparents!

Laurie Brown

Hi, my name is Laurie and I have been a Dental Hygienist for 30 years. I was born and raised in Arizona. I am married and have 4 kids and a dog. I have lived here all my life except for 7 years I lived in Santa Barbara, CA. I went to Dental Hygiene school in Flagstaff and graduated from Northern Arizona University. One of my favorite rotations I did in school was going to the home bound patients and cleaning their teeth. The 7 years I lived in Santa Barbara I worked with the moderate to severe Autism kids and was a one-on-one aide in the classroom with them. I am now taking my years of chairside hygiene and the time as an Autism aide and combining it and working with those in assisted living and behavioral units. I love going out and helping those that can’t get out and have their dental work done.

Heidi Esparza

My name is Heidi Esparza, my schooling and training was all done here in Arizona. I earned my Dental Hygiene degree at Rio Salado College. I have 28 years of dental experience. I was a dental assistant for 12 years and have been a dental hygienist for 16. I’ve always had a passion for serving the underserved in our community. I thought my journey would take me to a position of helping underserved youth but my calling landed me in the position of helping our underserved elderly. I believe we are all put in positions in the right place at the right time. I am happy to serve the people of Arizona because I am a native of this beautiful state. I believe helping others is such a blessing and am grateful for the opportunity I have to help someone every single day.

Dr. Davis Henning

I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina – go Tar Heels! I attended undergrad at the University of South Carolina and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Biology major and Business minor while working in the Organic Chemistry department. I had my Dental training at the University of North Carolina Adams School of Dentistry and graduated in 2019. While at UNC I was a teaching assistant for Conservative Operative Dentistry and Removable Prosthodontics. I also helped with developing the digital dentures pathway for the undergraduate clinics. My training and experiences particularly suits me in my mission to bring access to dental care to the medically compromised, underserved, and elderly through mobile dentistry. I love my patients and the care I can provide them and have put my heart into Coronado Dental for the last 4 years. I love all things sports and the Valley is the perfect hub of professional and college sports, including the annual Waste Management and Spring Training. I enjoy exploring new restaurants and good eats and scenery with my wife and daughter.

Dr. Phillip Hendrix

Dr. Phillip Hendrix is a California native. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he attended UCLA where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. His interest in dentistry led him to attend the University of Iowa, School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Sciences. Desiring to advance and hone his general dentistry skillset, Dr. Hendrix completed a General Practice residency program at Kino Community Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. It is through this residency that Dr. Hendrix gained first-hand experience in emergency dentistry, often times performing complex, high-risk dental procedures in a hospital setting. Dr. Hendrix joined Coronado Dental Services in 1999 where he is able to utilize his expertise in serving an underserved community. He has great compassion for this community and looks forward to being a voice for this overlooked population. Dr. Hendrix brings experience, attention, care and empathy to every patient he treats as if they were his own family. Outside of the dental office, Dr. Hendrix enjoys spending time with his family, friends and taking in a good sporting event.

Dr. Brennan Allen

I am a North Carolina native and went to undergrad and dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; about ten minutes away from my childhood home. I graduated with my DDS in 2019. About a month after graduation I moved to Arizona to start working with Coronado Dental Services as a mobile dentist, and I have been here since. I appreciate having the opportunity to provide care to those who aren’t able to seek care in a traditional dental setting. I am grateful that my work has such an impact on the patients that we see in The Valley. I love so much of what Arizona has to offer from the top of the state to the bottom. The landscape, restaurants, and events such as concerts and sporting games are just a few of my favorites. I enjoy running, getting outside (when the temps aren’t in the triple digits), baking ‘healthy-ish’ treats and spending time with my husband, baby girl and Aussiedoodle puppy.
